The Forest Food Producers Group are a Co-operative Society made up of local food and drink producers in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Due to the Forest being such a wide spread rural area, distribution of produce is a major issue for local producers.
The collective distribution service will address this issue with the aid of a low cost, effecient online central odering facility. This will provide their customers with one order, one invoice, one delivery. Each producer will have their own web page within the site in which they can control their stock levels and input special offers and promotions. The website will also act as a communications channel between producer, customer and end consumer and market any events relating to local food and drink.
The Forest Food Producers Group have received funding from Rural Rennaissance to enable the project to go ahead.
